SUMMARY
This study examined diet and metabolic health in Malaysian children and adolescents, revealing high rates of obesity and poor adherence to dietary guidelines. Some unexpected links—like higher fruit intake associated with abdominal obesity—highlight the complexity of diet–health relationships. The findings underscore the need for long-term research to better understand how diet influences cardiometabolic risk in young populations.
