An Asia-Pacific initiative advancing climate-resilient maternal and child health through research, collaboration, and community-led action.

OUR STORY

Maternal and Child Health Climate Adaptation and Resilience (MCH CARE) is a collaborative initiative working across the Asia-Pacific to strengthen maternal and child health systems in the face of climate change. We connect researchers, health professionals, policymakers and communities to co-design solutions that are culturally grounded, evidence-based, and locally relevant.

Our work spans Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Fiji, and Australia, where we support climate adaptation through research, capacity building, and inclusive partnerships. At the heart of MCH CARE is a commitment to equity, ensuring that the voices of women and adolescent girls shape the future of care.

Together, we are creating a more resilient, responsive, and just health system – one that protects the most vulnerable and prepares communities for the challenges ahead.

OUR mission

To reduce the vulnerability of mothers, children, and adolescent girls to the impacts of climate change by building inclusive, culturally grounded, and evidence-based maternal and child health systems across the Indo-Pacific.

We do this by connecting researchers, communities, and policymakers to co-design climate-resilient interventions that respond to local realities while shaping global health policy and practice.
