SUMMARY

This study assessed stunting among Malaysian children and adolescents aged 6–19, revealing a high prevalence regardless of the growth reference used. Stunting was more common among underweight children and those without access to piped water or proper sanitation. The findings support expanding stunting interventions beyond early childhood and call for a unified definition to improve monitoring in older age groups.
