Project Status: Completed (July 2023 – July 2024)
This research project explores how women can be empowered to address the health impacts of climate change on themselves, their families, and their communities.
By engaging directly with women, the study sought to:
Understand perceptions of how climate change affects health
Identify barriers and enablers to responding to those impacts
Explore the feasibility of community-based empowerment interventions
Map relevant stakeholders essential to implementing locally led adaptation and mitigation strategies
The findings contribute valuable insights to inform culturally sensitive, community-driven approaches to climate and health resilience — aligning closely with MCH CARE’s commitment to inclusive, evidence-based action.
